Introduction
HYLO-TEAR is an eye drop recommended for the long-lasting soothing relief of dry eyes.
HYLO-TEAR improves the lubrication of the eye surface in eyes that are dry, burning or have foreign body sensations due to environmental conditions as well as after ophthalmo-surgical interventions.
HYLO-TEAR contains 0.1% high molecular weight hyaluronic acid for hydration of the ocular surface. If eyes are itching, burning, or easily tiring, if it feels like sand in eyes, this might be due to a lack of moisture on the ocular surface. HYLO-TEAR® may be used while wearing contact lenses. Wearing contact lenses will be made more comfortable by using HYLO-TEAR as it does not form crusts or deposits.
HYLO-TEAR is a sterile solution that is preservative free and phosphate free.

How it works
HYLO-TEAR contains high molecular weight hyaluronic acid for a higher viscosity that contributes to longer residence time on the eye, meaning longer symptom relief for patients.
- Hyaluronic Acid is a natural substance found in many organs of the human body.
- Due to its chemical structure, it binds and retains many times its own weight in water.
- Its unique property is that it forms a regular, stable and long lasting, lubricating and moisturising film on the eye surface that is not easily rinsed off.
- It does, however, not cause blurred vision and protects your eyes from dryness and irritation for a long time.
- This is particularly important if you wear contact lenses because the contact lens needs to swim in sufficient tear fluid in order not to cause any discomfort. Wearing contact lenses will be made more comfortable by using HYLO-TEAR as it does not form crusts or deposits.
