The OPTASE Moist Heat Mask can be disposed of with regular household waste. Its hydro-beads are 100% silica, non-toxic, and will gradually break down into smaller particles. The fabric is made of standard synthetic fibres that can be recycled, but the mask itself isn't recyclable.
We recommend replacing the Optase MHM after 6 months. Although it isn't recyclable, here are some repurposing ideas:
Place it on window sills to reduce condensation.
Use the beads with important documents to prevent dampness.
Store it with jewellery to avoid tarnishing.
Keep it with Christmas decorations or in humid areas like attics.
Add some beads to garden seeds to keep them dry.
Put the mask on your dashboard to prevent windscreen fogging.
Keep beads away from children and pets due to choking hazards, though they are non-toxic.
