Introduction
EVOTEARS lubricates the eye surface, stabilizing the tear film and relieving symptoms associated with Dry Eye with its unique, single-ingredient formula.
EVOTEARS only contains perfluorohexyloctane (PFO). PFO spreads very quickly and rapidly forms a protective layer over the tear to counteract premature evaporation. EVOTEARS offers improved tear film stability and symptom relief.
EVOTEARS is a sterile solution that is water free, preservative free and phosphate free.
Composition
1 ml EVOTEARS contains 1ml Perfluorohexyloctane (PFO)
Recommended For
- Evaporative dry eye
- Tear film instability due to the lipid layer
- Symptoms of gritty dry eyes
- Protection of the ocular surface
- Extremely uncomfortable and persistent dry eye that has not been alleviated by other eye solutions
Suitable For
- Ages 18+
- Patients that need a product that is preservative, alcohol and phosphate free
- Long term use
- How it works:
- EVOTEARS is lipophilic due to the substance perfluorohexyloctane. It has the same refractive index as the tear, thus vision is not impaired.
- EVOTEARS spreads very quickly and rapidly forms a protective layer over the tear to counteract premature evaporation.
- It replenishes the lipid layer of the tear film for a more stable tear film.
Usage Instructions
- Apply 4 times daily by squeezing one drop inside the lower eyelid, unless directed otherwise by your eyecare professional
- Leave 30 mins between application and use of other eye drops. Apply EVOTEARS last
- Due to EVOTEARS special properties, patients may not feel the drop entering the eyelid. Should this be the case, it may be helpful to use a mirror to aid application
- It is advised not to use EVOTEARS with contact lenses due to lack of data concerning compatibility of EVOTEARS with the contact lens materials.
- Not suitable for use in pregnancy and lactation due to lack of data
- May be used up to 6 months after opening
